Position is contingent upon award of the project
The Site Manager supports the Task Order Manager by planning, directing, controlling, scheduling, coordinating and organizing the site operation and management activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates alternatives for more efficient accomplishment of work, establishes procedures, and develops documentation.
Interfaces through oral and written instruction with contract personnel and customer agency representatives.
Initiates corrective actions as required.
Manages basic support services and accompanying labor force for assigned location
Manages assorted team of U.S. nationals supervising skilled, semi-skilled foreign and local nationals
Conduct meetings with the military customers to ensure that all requirements are met as defined in the Statement of Work
Develops and executes briefings and presentations, as needed
Communicate new requirements, concerns, and issues to MD Helicopters for resolution
Ensure that the Contract requirements are met for employee health, morale, and welfare
Ensure that employees adhere to Contract, Armed Forces and host nation standards of conduct concerning in-theater operations
Effectively manage any employee management issues that may arise
Oversee equipment and material within assigned area of responsibility
Coordinate and oversee arrival, retrofit, and upgrade of equipment and material as assigned
Conducts the weekly and monthly collection of data for quality input to PEBs or AFEB
Submits timely reports required by the United States Government
Ensures resources are applied to achieve highest standards of service to client specifications
Monitors standards and completes relevant documentation
Plans and oversees the execution of any additional services requested by the client
Give direction and oversight pertaining to, but not limited to, the following areas: operation and maintenance, food service, construction, waste management, and power generation
Responsible for planning and managing the work efforts of task team personnel; determining and monitoring subtask schedules and budgets; and ensuring compliance with all contract and task order requirements and quality standards pertaining to the task/subtask.
Demonstrates skills in the scope of work encompassed by the task/subtask; provides technical guidance to the task team in performance of the work; and provides quality review of all work products.
Assists the PM by managing overall task order performance.
Up to 90% travel may be required. Travel may include domestic and/or international locations such as Afghanistan or Iraq.
Individual may be required to travel within Afghanistan, Iraq or other international sites, and perform work-related duties in extreme environments and austere living conditions.
Able to work outdoors in the Middle East environmental conditions and temperatures in excess of 120 degrees.
Be available for assignment to OCONUS sites for extended deployment periods.
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/Management from an accredited 4-year College or University; and five (5) years of relevant management experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Manager (PM) Certification a plus
Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Good communication and organizational skills, computer literacy, and demonstrated expertise of research methodologies
Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decisions
Work performed in an office and out of country settings.
Exposure to environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.
Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel and stoop.
The ability to get along with others and work in a team environment.
Access to Export Control Information.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Must be a US Citizen or a US Lawful Permanent Resident
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
